Why buy life insurance? I mean its a MISERABLE thing to talk about right? Who gets what money when a loved one dies. What if I told you that people buy life insurance because they love someone. A sister buys life insurance for her nieces and nephews to help create a legacy for their future. A single mother purchases life insurance to make sure her children are well cared for if she isn't here to do so any longer. A father purchases a policy to make sure that his partner can continue to care for their developmentally delayed child in the event of an untimely death. There are so many reasons to buy life insurance. Just think about what it can do for you and your family.
Tragedy exists. Change is constant. Life is unpredictable. Insurance can be here if you need it, when you need it. For anyone of my readers out there that have experienced the loss of a loved one, you know it comes with heartache, grief, confusion, loneliness and even if YOU are not ready yet, the aftermath...funeral costs, medical bills, estate taxes. The list goes one.
Once I arrived at the door of a young mother with a check for $250,000 after the very recent death of her husband. (Yes, back then we hand delivered them....and so I age myself.) The look on that woman's face is something I will never unsee. Her pain was so evident but if you could have seen the small hint of relief that offered her more time off of work to grieve and process and spend time with her children, you would know as I know; that's what life insurance can do.
